Al-Alamein International Airport — Fuel Depot

A complete JET-A1 fuel depot for Al-Alamein International Airport — three JET-A1 tanks totalling 1.2 million litres, a 14″ hydrant of two 1,850 m runs and a full firefighting, control and monitoring scope, supporting around 120,000 m³ of fuelling a year.

Overview

The brief, and the build

Al-Alamein International Airport is being built to rank among the leading airports of the Middle East and Africa. Its new fuel depot had to match that ambition — a complete JET-A1 facility engineered to international standards for aviation fuelling, safety and quality.

Between 2023 and 2025 we delivered the depot end to end: three JET-A1 tanks totalling 1.2 million litres with overfill protection, a ground-fuelling system, reception and loading stations, pumping and flow metering, filtration and water separation, a 14″ hydrant of two 1,850 m runs, a 1,200 m³ firewater tank, cathodic protection, emergency shut-down, leak detection, CCTV and a water-and-gas firefighting system — all under automatic control.

The depot supports around 10,000 m³ of fuelling a month — roughly 120,000 m³ a year — clean, bright, dry and fully monitored, ready for the airport's growth.
