Overview
The brief, and the build
Terminal 2 at Cairo International Airport needed its own jet-fuel hydrant supply — large-diameter mains buried across an operational apron, installed without interrupting the fuel flow the rest of the airport depends on.
Al Majd · Warner Lewis engineered and installed 24″ and 14″ hydrant pipelines with a cathodic-protection and emergency system, continuous leak detection and a full instrumentation and SCADA layer, together with the civil works that carry and protect them.
The result is a monitored, corrosion-protected hydrant network feeding Terminal 2 — every metre of main watched from the control room, every fault located before it can become a spill.
